On Monday, April 24th, 47 students in the St. Petersburg College RN-BSN program were inducted into the Upsilon Psi Chapter of the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI or ΣΘΤ). Membership is by invitation only to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship and to nurse leaders exhibiting exceptional achievements in nursing.
At the ceremony, SPC nursing faculty members, Dr. Amanda Daniels and Dr. Patricia Thielemann, were also presented with 2017 Upsilon Psi Chapter Nursing Faculty Leadership Awards. This award is presented to exceptional nursing faculty based nominated by students. SPC nursing students vote for the faculty member who inspired them the most and helped them develop their leadership qualities.
